Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
I am a contracted clinician role at Accepting Always PLLC and accept insurance through them. You can learn more here.
Insurance can increase access to therapy, which is why I work within this system—it’s the reality that allows many people to receive care. At the same time, it shapes how care is defined—often requiring diagnosis, measurable symptoms, and time-limited treatment. From a decolonized lens, not all pain is pathological, and healing doesn’t always fit into standardized boxes. Some work—especially relational, cultural, and nervous system healing—needs more flexibility than insurance systems allow. This is where my cash pay services come in.
How much are cash pay sessions?
My cash pay individual sessions are $140 for a 50-minute session and couple sessions are $160 for a 50 minute session. I highly recommend couples to do an online assessment via Gottman Connect which is an additional $39 + tax.
Also, I have a few available slots for a sliding scale rate for those who need it. If you need guidance on how to determine where you might fall on the scale, I highly recommend the Green Bottle Method.
Payment is due at time of service. I accept all major credit/debit cards as well as HSA/FSA cards.
What does scheduling look like?
I usually schedule a client on a weekly basis at the start of our work, usually in a consistent time slot (i.e. Wednesdays at 9 AM). Sometimes, a client may request to meet bi-weekly after experiencing some progress or growth while some clients may transition to meeting every 3 or 4 weeks.
What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel?
Please email or call 24 hours before your appointment to reschedule or cancel. Otherwise, you will be charged a late reschedule/cancel fee.
Do you have in-person appointments?
I currently only see clients virtually.
How many sessions does it usually take to start seeing results?
There is no set number of sessions that will guarantee the change you want to see. With that said, some people may start to see shifts after 6-8 weeks. Others take much longer. Everyone’s healing journey is going to look different - the best thing we can do is to regularly check in and assess for growth and movement towards your goals.
